Walk with the black and white rhinos, feed the elephants, and watch herds of game galloping at Imire: Rhino & Wildlife Conservation. This wildlife sanctuary was founded by cattle ranchers Norman and Gilly Travers in 1952. Their children have continued their ardent work and are still hand-raising rhinos on their parents' former farm. Note that this is not a safari, but a reserve, and some animals are kept in enclosures while some are nearly domesticated, which makes close encounters possible. The sanctuary also boasts a camping area and offers overnight stays at guest lodges complemented with buffet lunches and candlelit dinners.
