Create an itinerary including Itanda Falls
An up-and-coming kayaking and whitewater rafting area on the Nile, Itanda Falls offers a spectacular set of rapids and cascades amid lush, hilly greenery. Feel the power of rushing water and hear the sound of the roaring river at the falls, which have three levels of rapids. Forest islands in the midst of the cascades make them particularly scenic. Locals consider the falls sacred, inspiring a British prince to pay a visit to this hidden gem of Uganda. • The view of the rapids is amazing almost breathtaking. It's a decent place to go with a couple of beers and make a picnic, the eddy ahead is good to swim and for water activities.

  • i am no swimmer but this place gave me the best water experience i have ever had. definitely going back! i did a boat ride and explored one of the islands. i also had a chance to swim on the waterfalls and my guide was kind enough to help me swim on the Nile. downside is accessing the place. it is a very dusty ride all the way from Jinja to Itanda so cover up😄. But all the dust trouble is totally worth it💯
  • This is the perfect place to camp. The weather isn’t too hot and isn’t too cold. You’d hardly ever need a jacket, even after it rains.
