Tourism in Lusaka, Zambia's commercial and government center, thrives mostly due to its central location and well-connected airport, making it a gateway for exploring the country's numerous nature reserves and national parks.When in Lusaka, make a side trip to see Munda Wanga Environmental Park in Chilanga, approximately Chilanga away. Spend the 8th (Tue) in the pleasant surroundings of Chaminuka Game Reserve. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Lilayi Elephant Nursery, stop by Manda Hill, hike along Southern Africa Freedom Trail, and hunt for treasures at Pakati Sunday Market.

Mbala is Zambia’s most northerly large town and seat of Mbala District, occupying a strategic location close to the border with Tanzania and controlling the southern approaches to Lake Tanganyika, 40 km by road to the north-west, where the port of Mpulungu is located. Step out of Mbala to go to Mpulungu and see Lake Tanganyika, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. There's still lots to do: admire the sheer force of Kalambo Falls and see the interesting displays at Moto Moto Museum.
