Step off the beaten path and head to Bush Babies Monkey Sanctuary and The Wilds Nature Reserve. Visiting Climbing Tours and Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve will get you outdoors. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Johannesburg: Broederstroom (Lion and Safari Park, Phaladingwe Hiking Trail, &more), Hartbeespoort (Hartbeesport Dam Wall, Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeesport Dam, &more) and Pretoria (Hennops Hiking Trail, Kruger House Museum, &more). Spend the 19th (Mon) spotting exotic species with a safari tour. Spend the 7th (Fri) trying your luck at Gold Reef City.
