Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Durban is an approximately 12-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Jeddah to Durban. Prepare for cooler weather when traveling from Jeddah in June: high temperatures in Durban hover around 28°C and lows are around 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) to allow time to fly to Kruger National Park.

Kruger National Park — 25 nights

One of Africa's largest game sanctuaries and part of UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Program, Kruger National Park provides an immersive experience of wildlife.
Attractions like Kruger National Park and Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Hoedspruit (24 Degrees South, Drakensig Golf Club, &more), Glencoe Giant Baobab (in Tzaneen) and Phalaborwa (Safaris, Qualito Craft Distillery, &more). Spend the 7th (Thu) surrounded by wildlife at Game drives at Phalaborwa Gate in Kruger National Park. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Sweni Wilderness Trail, trek along Nyalaland Wilderness Trail, see human ingenuity at work at Klaserie Dam, and take some stellar pictures from Nkumbe View Site.

Fly from Durban to Kruger National Park in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Durban in July, Kruger National Park is a bit cooler at night with lows of 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Fri) so you can fly to Cape Town.

Do a combination of flight and taxi from Cape Town to Sun City in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. When traveling from Cape Town in August, plan for a bit warmer days and a bit cooler nights in Sun City: temperatures range from 30°C by day to 6°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Johannesburg.
