Blantyre — 5 nights

As Malawi's second-largest city, Blantyre represents the country's main commercial and industrial hub and boasts a dynamic array of food options.
Visiting The Way of the Cross/ Njira ya Mtanda and Majete Wildlife Reserve will get you outdoors. Explore hidden gems such as Tiyamike Sewing and Lake Chilwa. Get out of town with these interesting Blantyre side-trips: King African Rifles Monument (in Zomba) and Mount Mulanje (in Mulanje). There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at St.Michael's and All Angels Church, get advice or help at The Society of Malawi Library, take in the exciting artwork at La Caverna Art Gallery, and browse the different shops at Chichiri Shopping Centre.

The capital city of Malawi and its largest, Lilongwe serves as an important center of economy and transportation for the area.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Nkhoma Mountain and Maula Cathedral. Escape the urban bustle at Kuti Wildlife Reserve and Lilongwe Wildlife Centre. Step out of Lilongwe to go to Dedza and see Chongoni Rock Art Area, which is approximately 1h 15 min away.
