Hazyview — 2 nights
A gateway to the popular Kruger National Park, Hazyview boasts an enviable location in South Africa's lowveld, surrounded by a staggering number of both natural and historic sites.Take a break from the city and head to Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve and Sudwala Caves. Explore Hazyview's surroundings by going to Nelspruit (Sudwala Dinosaur Park & Emnotweni Casino). There's still lots to do: see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, contemplate the long history of Shangana Cultural Village, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Elephant Whispers.

Mpumalanga travel guide
Hike through the world's third-highest canyon, and the only green one in the world; explore the world's oldest cave; and witness the diverse wildlife in the many reserves of Mpumalanga. This "place where the sun rises," as the name means in local tongues, features stunning mountain scenery, lush valleys, and charming towns with refreshingly cool weather. Mpumalanga's attractions draw crowds of visitors from far and wide: follow the trails of the 19th-century gold rush in old gold-seeker's towns, rappel down a waterfall, or just take a dip in the pools below after a hike through the rainforests.
