Get in touch with nature at Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary and Garden Route National Park. Relax by the water at Buffalo Bay and Brenton on Sea. Get out of town with these interesting Knysna side-trips: Wilderness Beach (in Wilderness), Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary (in The Crags) and Shark Diving (in Mossel Bay). Renowned as a premier whale-watching destination, Hermanus grew from a quaint fishing village nestled on Walker Bay.
Take a break from the city and head to Shark Diving and Waenhuiskrans Caves. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Voelklip Beach and Grotto Beach. Step out of Hermanus to go to Betty's Bay and see Stony Point Penguin Colony, which is approximately 50 minutes away.
