Johannesburg — 20 nights

City of Light
Founded when gold was discovered in the area in the late 19th century, Johannesburg quickly grew into a bustling metropolis, South Africa's largest city and the region's economic hub.Venture out of the city with trips to Pretoria (Union Buildings, Pretoria National Botanical Garden, &more), Ukutula Conservation Center (in Brits) and Hartbeespoort (Bush Babies Monkey Sanctuary, Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre, &more). Spend the 13th (Mon) spotting exotic species with a safari tour. Spend the 21st (Tue) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Apartheid Museum, wander the streets of Maboneng Precinct, steep yourself in history at Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct, and don't miss a visit to South Western Townships.
