19 days in Pretoria & Namibia Itinerary

You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Apartheid Museum and Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct. Johannesburg to Pretoria is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Johannesburg in June, expect nights in Pretoria to be somewhat warmer, around 14°C, while days are slightly colder, around 17°C. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Pretoria to Swakopmund. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Pretoria in June: highs in Swakopmund hover around 26°C, while lows dip to 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Etosha National Park.

When traveling from Otjiwarongo in June, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Luderitz: temperatures range from 23°C by day to 11°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Mon) so you can catch the flight to Windhoek.

Kids will appreciate attractions like Christuskirche and Namibia Craft Centre. When in Windhoek, make a side trip to see Deadvlei in Sossusvlei, approximately Sossusvlei away.
