15 days in Windhoek, Victoria Falls & Okavango Delta Itinerary

Located in the heart of the country, Namibia's capital city Windhoek receives a constant influx of tourists, in part because of its international airport.

Do some cultural sightseeing at Christuskirche and Cuno Hoffmeister Memorial Observatory. Escape the urban bustle at Safaris and Daan Viljoen Nature Reserve. Sofia, Bulgaria to Windhoek is an approximately 23-hour flight. You can also fly. The time zone changes from Eastern European Standard Time to Central Africa Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Plan for warmer temperatures traveling from Sofia in November, with highs in Windhoek at 38°C and lows at 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Mon) to allow enough time to fly to Victoria Falls.

Victoria Falls, a Zimbabwean town near the eponymous waterfall, serves as one of two prime gateway points to the majestic cascade and its surrounding national park.

Get outdoors at Moremi Wildlife Reserve and NG/32 Okavango Kopano Mokoro Community Trust. Step out of Okavango Delta to go to Maun and see Okavango River, which is approximately 48 minutes away.

Getting from Victoria Falls to Okavango Delta by combination of car, bus, and flight takes about 6.5 hours. Other options: fly; or do a combination of train and bus. In November in Okavango Delta, expect temperatures between 40°C during the day and 24°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
