Located in the heart of the country, Namibia's capital city Windhoek receives a constant influx of tourists, in part because of its international airport.
On the 2nd (Fri), see the interesting displays at National Museum of Namibia, take in the spiritual surroundings of Christuskirche, and then admire the natural beauty at Parliament Gardens. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at Trans-Namib Railroad Museum, look for gifts at The Diamond Works, then browse the eclectic array of goods at Namibia Craft Centre, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at NamibRand Nature Reserve.

Keetmanshoop is a city in the ǁKaras Region of southern Namibia, lying on the Trans-Namib Railway from Windhoek to Upington in South Africa. On the 4th (Sun), walk around Garas Park Camp, enjoy some diversion at Quivertree Forest and Giant's Playground, and then take in the dramatic natural features at Mesosaurus Fossil Site.

Getting from Windhoek to Keetmanshoop by car takes about 6.5 hours. Other options: take a train.
