Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre
Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre cares for injured and rescued animals, offers educational tours, and provides a chance to meet the animal residents for a small contribution. Founded in 1991, the center rehabilitates a variety of birds and mammals that have been hurt or orphaned, often with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. On a guided tour of the complex, you can get up close and personal with the animals that are permanent residents of the center, including lions, eagles, wild dogs, and others, as well as any baby animals that may be there when you visit. After visiting many places for seeing animals at SA, this without doubt is the best of all kinds. You can see various beautiful and alive creatures of SA there. The guide is so informative and humorous. He tells stories in detailed of every animal there like they are his children. The ticket is E180 and the trip is definitely worth the price. We went there on Sunday and they only have one group-visit at 15:00 pm for all travelers(I was advised to arrive there at 14:45pm). Please check the time on their website and make a call before you go there. I strongly recommended this place to you when you are around at Blyde Canyon.

It was a fantastically educational experience regarding the rehabilitation of animals vs trying to release them into the wild. So amazing to see these animals up close and for these animals to be educational ambassadors for their species so that some good can come from their lives. Clean facilities and great staff. Can totally recommend it to anyone in the Hoedspruit area or even further - worth it!
