Our day safari dawned bright with anticipation as we set off promptly with our guide, Gerrie. It is indeed a privilege to listen to Gerrie as he imparts some of the deep knowledge and respect that he has for our environment. His infectious enthusiasm sustained an engaging and lively discussion throughout the day. From admiring the lilac breasted roller and learning of the lifecycle of the foam nest frog to spotting rhino and lion tracks by the side of the road and being confronted by the majestic beauty of an elephant ambling towards us - the day was filled with such fantastic and extraordinary moments. We also got to see myriad herds of impala, as well as buffalo, rhino, elephant herds and at least three leopards... Gerrie's invaluable insights added a richness to our unforgettable experience. He is an attentive warm host who gladly shared his knowledge and experiences and provided us with a beautiful photo journal. Gerrie is hands down one of the best tour guides I have met. Unlike other tour operators, Gerrie will collect you at sun rise and spend all day with you in the Kruger.
