With views of the Franschhoek Valley set against the backdrop of the namesake mountains, Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve serves as a part of the World Heritage biosphere reserve. The reserve offers over 30 km (19 mi) of well-maintained hiking trails leading through diverse wildlife amidst fynbos proteas, pincushions, ericas, and restios. You'll observe scenic fields and villages from the trails take in views of mist-covered peaks. Spanning 1,759 hectares (4,346 acres), the reserve features a number of streams that are overlooked by the 1,575 m (5,176 ft) high Perdekop peak.     The walk takes about 3 hours and the view at the end is unbelievable. Medium difficulty, some parts are climbing. Buy your ticket online.

    I have done the Dutoiskop and Uitkyk trail. Both fantastic although Dutoitskop more challenging. Uitkyk view is wonderful - an absolute must!
