Visit Klein Constantia, a vineyard and winery with an enviable location and interesting history. First established here in 1685 because of the quality of the soil and the cool ocean breezes, the winery produced a naturally sweet Vin de Constance, which became popular with writers, rulers, and the aristocracy during the 18th and 19th centuries--until a wine blight devastated the vineyards. Reopened in 1986, the facility offers tours of the facilities, tastings and pairing sessions, and an onsite store where you can pick up a bottle or two to take home with you. One of the 9 vineyards on the Constantia wine route in a beautiful setting approached by a breathtaking agapanthus lined avenue. Very smooth wine tasting operation and delightful small restaurant...

An amazing lunch and afternoon spent at The Bistro. Excellent menu, full of aroma and well- balanced flavours. Complimented perfectly by the Klein Constantine wine selection. I definitely recommend...

A stunning wine estate and one of the oldest in South Africa, Klein Constantia is steeped in rich history. We did the standard wine tasting and the setting was elegant and tranquil. Perhaps we were there on a quiet day but it did not have the hustle and bustle of some of the other wine estates I have visited in the Franschhoek and Stellenbosch areas. This estate produces mainly white, with their signature being the renowned sweet ‘Vin de Constance’ from a Muscat de Frontignan cultivar. It is a pity that the bistro kitchen closes at 3pm as we were unable to try the food after having done our wine tasting in the early afternoon.

We had an amazing Sunday afternoon lunch in the beautiful garden setting at your establishment. Great service from the moment we entered to being served very attentively by Neville. The food and wine was of the highest quality and well presented. The fillet was the best we had in a long time.
