Browse the stalls for Namibian handicrafts at Namibia Craft Centre. Around 38 vendors sell items from rural communities, ethnic groups, and humanitarian projects all across Namibia. Choose among gifts and souvenirs ranging from jewelry to carved tree roots. The center supports Namibian small enterprises in their fight against poverty, and utilization of Namibian natural resources through eco-friendly products and sustainable production. To that end, only 10 percent of goods sold here can be from other countries, and all goods must come from the African continent. Sample fresh Namibian food, plus reputedly the best cheesecake and apple crumble in the city. Plan your Namibia Craft Centre visit and explore what else you can see and do in Windhoek using our Windhoek trip itinerary maker tool.

  • There is a wide variety of arts and crafts here, many at reasonable prices. We found some beautiful bowls and a fabulous Batik wall-hanging...we went twice and spent more than an hour browsing each...

  • If you didn't manage to get souvenirs and memorabilia from the different pockets of places during your visit, this craft store houses different craft items from all over the country. Of course a mark up is added, as I noticed some items bought directly from the different tribes, areas etc. are slightly pricier here. There are also a few stand alone mini boutique shops and a restaurant. The place is quite dense with different items so you ready need to be able to take your time, it was also slight packed during my visit.
  • It's a collection of various nice shops. We found some good souvenirs. Safe parking as well and liked the apple pie in the cafĂ© on the first floor.
