Karakulia Weavers, Swakopmund

A very interesting weaving mill and definitely worth your visit. Everything is handmade and the carpets are beautiful! I had a very nice chat with the owner, Moses Helao after the friendly lady from the reception gave me a little tour. I’m so happy to see black-owned businesses and wish them more support in the future!

Took my Persian carpet in to be fixed, Karakulia Weavers did a semi good job at fixing the carpet where it was torn. Separate to them. Maryna, a lady, she washes and treats the carpets. I would not recommend her what so ever. Took my carpet in to be repaired where it was torn, a simple fix. She washed my carpet knowing it was Persian and should have been cleaned with powder, as she mentioned afterwards. Completely ruined it as the red colours bleed and changed the white parts to red, and then refused to take responsibility.
