  • I climbed Dune 45 before sunrise, we were the first people here. It definitely get's busy later on towards 7am. 100% worth the time and effort to reach the top. The sunrise is magnificent! Namibia's landscapes are rich in so much beautiful contrasting colors and the blend of redish/brown sand dunes against clear blue skies with a white cracked ground made from clay is a sight to behold! Definitely recommend doing this! Reach the top, enjoy the view, get some good exercise.
  • Gotta see it, gotta climb it. We were at the park gate when it opened, then drove the 45 kilometers (hence the name) to find dozens of people making the climb. A touch of vertigo with the dune sloping away on both sides at the angle of repose of fine sand. Great view.
