This is a must-do day trip from Swakopmund. Photos don't do it justice and it is quite a spectacular sight. Be sure to visit Goanikontes Oasis Rest Camp nearby for lunch in their amazing kid-friendly.... more

Absolutely a must visit and the drive worth it. Seeing that landscape is breathtakingly stunning. The photos do not do it justice so go and enjoy it for yourself.

Very impressive landscape and worth the trip from swakopmund! At the Restaurant/oasis goanikantes you can get information about 2 nice walks you can take through the landscape (a short one of 30min and a longer one of 2 hours). Make sure to bring enough water, sunscreen, a hat and your camera. Pay attention to the marks, as it’s easy to get lost if you don’t. It was super quiet, we did not encounter any other people
