Create an itinerary including Epupa Falls
Observe the mist-shrouded environment with fig trees, baobabs, and makalani palms at Epupa Falls. From the top of this striking set of falls--of which the longest drops 37 m (121 ft)--take in sweeping views of the Kunene valley and river. Join a guided tour of the waterfalls and nearby Himba villages, or go bird-watching and wildlife sighting. Alternatively, opt for some white-water rafting several miles upriver. Bring some food for a picnic in one of the designated areas. • Nice place! Peaceful! Pay attention to "diving" cows 😉
  • Stayed in the campsite on the river bank, with the noise of the fall’s omnipresent. It was truly beautiful! Watched the locals bathing in the river unashamedly naked and the bird life was plentiful. That was 30+ years ago though…
