I went to the Medina in the day time & at the night time, I feel like even though I am back to San Francisco now, part of my heart is still in Marrakesh. “Marrakech taught me color, before Marrakech, everything was black.” said by Yves Saint Laurent . There's few rules, if you follow, you will be fine. 1. Never follow anyone to their shops, the price can be 6 times to 10 times more if you did. 2. Bargain & compare : bargain is part of the game, it's quite fun, just walk away and wait until they ask you back. You can add a little bit more if you feel bad that the vendor is angry, but don't worried, it's part of the game. 3. cat-lover paradise : I brought one pound dry cat food and when I was leaving Marrakesh, my bag of cat food was gone. 4. People are super nice : compares to my next stop Casablanca, people in Marrakesh are 100 times better. 5. No Asian hate: even though we heard Chino, Chino, they actually love Chino, because they think Chino is "walking wallet". So if you look like Chinese, ( I am Taiwanese), you will be fine(I mean after covid), they are very friendly. 6. Tips is welcome but not enforcement. 10% is good enough.

The market is nice place to visit at night I would however like to point out that the area is not at all clean when you go inside the market and hence I would not recommend it visiting during day time The place comes to life during night time and is worth visiting We went next day during day time and I was disappointed Again the issue is of lack of cleanliness Overall would definitely recommend to visit but during night time only
