Houses in every shade of blue make Chefchaouen Medina a very photogenic place. Here, Spanish and Moroccan architectural influences blend to make an inviting and attractive neighborhood, filled with hidden alleys, ornate doorways, and public squares. The blue buildings and narrow streets all come to a head around the restored kasbah, where you'll find plenty of traditional family-run restaurants and stores selling locally made handicrafts. • A beautiful Moroccan village in which all the houses are painted blue. It’s a bit steep in places but there are loads of shops selling local products. Locals are very friendly and willing to barter.

  • The city made a great impression on me, it is my favorite place in Morocco. People are very nice, many affordable places with good food and, above all, a beautiful old town. I definitely recommend it 👍
  • Chefchaouen: known as the "Blue Pearl" of Morocco, because of its fantastic blue houses and streets. Jewish immigrants painted the houses blue, and people have been guessing for years as to why. It is this mystery that gives the city its charm and makes it a long-standing popular tourist destination. Spend a day or two enjoying all the best things to do in Chefchaouen, and two days, or more, if you want to enjoy the stunning nature of the surrounding Riff Mountains: ✅Wander the Blue Streets ✅Watch the Sunrise or Sunset ✅Visit the Spanish Mosque ✅Visit the Kasbah Museum
