Walk in the footsteps of the famous colonial-era Danish writer at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages, built at the site of the original farmhouse and coffee plantation. Originally built from 1906-1908 on 2.2 hectares (5.5 acres) of some of the oldest formal gardens in Kenya, today the establishment includes accommodations for up to 30 guests. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal in the garden, where over 200 different types of flowering plants blossom year-round. The historic manor house was moved here in 2008, and stands amidst huge jacaranda, cacti, and bottlebrush trees.
