See black and white rhinos in their prime habitat at Khama Rhino Sanctuary, a private wildlife reserve that has successfully reintroduced these magnificent beasts to the wild since 1992. Established to curb poaching and rescue animals from the brink of extinction, the sanctuary covers some 8,585 ha (21,214 ac) of Kalahari Sandveld. Take a safari tour to see some 35 black rhinos, giraffes, zebras, leopards, impalas, jackals, ostriches, emus, and over 230 species of birds. Observe baby white rhinos suckling and enjoy impressive views of a herd of rhinos drinking from a watering hole. We gave it 5 as it’s special seeing the rhinos and we had a lovely drive with T in a beautiful park. Important project protecting rhinos and staff very friendly. Comfortables beds-had a good night’s rest. The manager is clearly not supervising his staff as maintenance is needed on the restaurant doors that won’t fully open. Baby pool is green. Chalet does not have a kitchen. They provide a good fridge, a sink, excellent hot water and water pressure. Body wash, shower caps also provided. There is a big restaurant which is fortunate as the chalets need a small hob & microwave. A good destination.

Exceptional experience... Camp sites are private, clean and well shaded. Braai wood available at reception and it's great quality. Bring your passport for sign in, and go see the magnificent rhino's. Ablutions need work, especially the toilets and shower heights, easy fixes and Botswana would have a world class destination!
