Create an itinerary including Mokolodi Nature Reserve
Admire diverse indigenous wildlife and see some endangered species at Mokolodi Nature Reserve, a private game reserve near Gaborone. Founded in 1994 by a non-profit foundation, the reserve covers 30 sq km (11. 5 sq mi) of donated land, providing shelter to southern white rhinos, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, reedbucks, giraffes, and zebras. The park's network of paths make it possible for a close encounter with any of these majestic animals. Keep your eyes peeled to see elephants, red hartebeests, sables, gemsboks, kudus, impalas, leopards, and waterbucks as you explore the park on foot. You can also cycle or take a night ride for a different perspective on the local nature. • They are rip offs! You have to buy a full year membership to drive around the park with your own car. This rule isn’t communicated in their website at all, so we drove all the way here for nothing.

  • Great outdoors place. They have amazing food and you can watch the wild animals while enjoying your meal in the sunset!
  • We took the Jeep we just bought on its maiden voyage there with our daughter who was visiting from Brazil. During a two-hour ride we saw impala, kudu, warthog, and zebra. Look forward to exploring more in the future.
