In principle, it has everything a perfect beach should have: 1. A beach itself, with nice soft sand, beautiful sea and waves. 2. A place to redress and to take a shower after swimming. 3. A close place to park your car. 4. A cafe to have a snack. A very nice beach!

Very wide and wild blue flag beach. The reality is that there is nothing really special about it. Don't get me wrong but it's exactly as many other beautiful South African beaches you can find in Western Cape. There is really nothing different to expect and I don't understand why its considered a must see place. 4 of 5 times I visited it there were a very strong wind. The positive thing is that the water is not deep from the beginning and its very nice to walk or run on the beach with the kids or your dog. There is also a small kids playground and a nice cafe so it's a nice enjoyable place when you visit Hermannus.
