A traditional Christian church built in the 19th century, St.Michael's and All Angels Church serves as a tranquil space to spend some time with your thoughts. Surprisingly, given its impressive facade, the church was designed by an amateur, Rev. David Clement Scott, and built by inexperienced builders without any proper training. Notice the brickwork, made form local clay and wood-fired using a kiln--in total, the building has an estimated 81 different types of rock in its structure. You'll see that the two towers on both sides are quite different and not designed to be identical, another distinctive feature of the church's architecture.
