Admire images of people from everyday life carved into the stone walls of Rova - Le Palais de la Reine, part of a royal complex. Built for Queen Ranavalona in the 17th century, this large landmark building perches on the top of Analamanga Hill, with an excellent view of the surroundings. The original wooden pavilion that stood here was consumed by fire, and the current stone structure dates from 1864. Your entrance fee includes a guide, who will inform you about the history of the site. Stroll through the scenic flower gardens dotted with interesting statues, step inside the stone church, and check out the cannons on display.
