Why I will always spend my precious time in the Nairobi National park It’s a public holiday tomorrow…….in the middle of the week? That was Tuesday the 21st August. I feel like it’s an international sleep day off the draining Nairobi traffic. But no! I think I have an idea……. what if I visit the park, do a game drive, take a walk, see animals in the orphanage? I can do all this at Nairobi National park. Excellent idea! Right? The drive through Langata road was smooth. No traffic, if you have been to Nairobi you can connect with me. Being in this city can make you grow old before your time. I wish to take off to my favorite destination Nanyuki to spend my later years with my grandchildren. Anyway, story for another day. That is how I found myself in the breath taking park; cool, refreshing, the sound of the birds, trees were a big break for me to re-energize and connect with nature. It’s beginning to get busy but with my always preferred travel agent Leo Africa safaris, I feel safe. All the protocols are taken care of and faster than I thought…I am in. The animals are amazing, harmless; I saw the lion, cheetah, tiger, hyena, crocodile, birds, buffalo. Name them. Each of them had a lesson for me to in life. I got to remind myself of what they feed on, lifestyle, history and what their days and nights are like. The stroll in the park is something I hadn’t experienced in a long time. It was beautiful. It got my mind cleared that I will always look forward to coming back. Even before my tummy crumble, I am due for a snack…excellent package there after which I feel like taking a nap. Actually I did for a moment. Time moved faster than I thought. Did you know the 10 strange mind blowing facts about nature? The next time you are in the park which I hope it’s soon, you will experience them first hand.
