Gaborone Game Reserve, Gaborone

#2 of 7 in Parks in Gaborone
Nature / Park · Wildlife Area
Learn about Botswanan animals at Gaborone Game Reserve, a small wildlife conservancy in the suburbs. Proximity to the capital makes this reserve a popular picnicking getaway where you can observe some wildebeests, impala, bush bucks, elands, kudu, zebras, ostriches, gemsboks, and warthogs. Established in 1988 to raise awareness about wildlife among the urban population, the reserve covers 5 sq km (2 sq mi) but has many observation areas. A variety of birds such as kingfishers, flamingos, and hornbills are particularly notable. There are picnicking areas, a game hide and a small education center. You can drive through the reserve without a guide. Gaborone Game Reserve is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.
